While Alex spent a few days at sleep-away camp, his brother and sister were off visiting with their grandparents, spending a few days with each set.
Yes, this means Ellen and I were on our own (only Demby kept us company). It was quite nice to get up, have breakfast with no one tugging at you, and then leave the house on time. I even biked to work 3 times this week.
In any case, Ben and Shoshi had a great time, though we did get reports that they each like to push the other's buttons, and that Shoshi can control Ben with a well placed, sweet-sounding "Bennnyyyyy."
In any case, we met my in-laws at a diner to pick them up. The nicest part was when Shoshi put in a huge smile and came RUNNING down the aisle to jump into my arms.
Alex claimed he loved being on his own, and I'm sure he did, but he also seems to enjoy having his siblings back.
As for Ben, I think he was QUITE excited to see his brother and immediately starting sharing his big bag of toy soldiers he'd picked up on his excursions. Of course, 24 hours later and Ben was back trying to drive the emotional direction of the house.
Ben
