Alex just came home from his first sleep away camp experience. Not the whole summer, but just a couple of days at a camp up in Maine where he got a small taste of what camp would be like.
He's floating.
He tried tubing, making pita bread, swimming, hiking and even ate chili, which he loved (no spices). He was shocked when I told him that I could make it for him.
But the key question had the wrong answer.
"Alex, did you miss me?" I asked eagerly.
"No."
"Wrong answer. Alex, did you miss me?"
"No."
"Wrong answer."
His mother finally fed him the line. Alex claims he didn't miss her either, but judging how he reacted when he saw both of us, I think he really did.
